![]() Becoming a Ravenous CreatureĪny humanoid or monstrous humanoid that willingly consumes the flesh of another creature of the same type may unlock the hidden animal within. That person’s soul has been consumed and lost forever. Even if the pleas of his victims did register in the mind of a ravenous creature, there would be no vestige of the person that once occupied it. A ravenous creature voraciously devours any fresh meat he can find or kill-particularly humanoid flesh.Ī ravenous creature cannot be reasoned with, and pleas from friends and family do not make it through the rage and hunger to sway the ravenous creature from his quest. Nothing fully sates the appetite of a ravenous creature, and he constantly scours the wilderness for raw meat. ![]() There is no compassion, no soul, and no emotion other than an undying rage and hunger. The eyes of a ravenous creature are wide and wild, showing none of the human spirit that once resided there. The most terrifying change, however, occurs in the eyes. His fingers become gnarled and tipped with vicious talons, and his teeth become as sharp as the fangs of a wolf. A person so possessed loses all humanity, and undergoes disfiguring transformations. nerfed).A ravenous creature, sometimes called an eater of flesh, is a humanoid upon whom the spirit of cannibalism has descended, transforming him into a wild-eyed and ferocious animal with a thirst for blood and raw flesh. Who knows if that might be changed (a.k.a. Apparently, a charmed pet will give you at most 66% exp if you do some damage to the MOB, if I read this right. *Edited due to the fact that SOE changed the way charm exp works again /sigh. By the way, KEI is helpful but not needed with this type of hunting since I hardly ever need to sit and med. I never had to memorize an AoE ever again in this zone. I did the root-dotting thing, I did the quad-kiting thing, however I find charming to be the best and most mana efficient way to gain exp./AA exp. If you can't find this particular pet, then 'a spectral wolf' will suffice even though it is a gimp compared to 'a ravenous beast.' Avoid sic'ing it on the '4 arms' and 'towels' that are SKs.they usually cast Fear, which is not good for a pet which already has low Magic Resist due to "GoT" you cast on it. It can easily take down Goranga trash (excluding Hunters/Scouts/named) and Toilers so fast you can literally chain pull to it. The Lv.53 version of this MOB (if you are lucky to find it) is the best pet a Druid can get in this zone.įind one (sometimes you get lucky and one wanders near the Goranga Scout rock), "Glamour of Tunare" it, "Ensnare" it, "Call of Karana" on it, give it two different types of weapons, "Savage Spirit" it, and you then have a monster of a pet that hits like a truck. Just a little request.Be careful with misindentification, because for some reason a few Rangers get pretty upset when they are mistaken for 'treehuggers'.Īs for the original post, /agree totally w/ you Crockett: ![]() Rangers: CAN'T charm animals, CAN use a Bow (and do some heavy damage with it if they are using /disc Trueshot)!Īs for the disobedient pet situation, the best advice I can give you is the one I use myself: Stay away from the charmed pet as much as possible! But just to set the record straight:ĭruids: CAN charm animals, CAN'T use a Bow. It's a simple mistake since the chain-look of Elysian gear make Druids look like pseudo-Rangers. I'd be pretty amazed too if I saw a Druid with ANY sort of archery skill considering druids CAN'T use a Bow/Arrow!
